What is a Wet Pad & Fan Cooling System?
A Wet Pad & Fan Cooling System (also known as an evaporative cooling system) is a highly efficient, large-scale climate control solution designed for agricultural and industrial environments. It consists of two main components: heavy-duty industrial exhaust fans installed on one side of the building, and porous evaporative cooling pads installed on the opposite wall. This integrated system provides continuous air exchange and rapid temperature drops, making it the industry standard for cooling large, open spaces where traditional air conditioning is too expensive to operate.

Working Principle
The system utilizes the natural physical phenomenon of water evaporation to absorb heat, operating on a negative pressure principle:
  • Air Exhaust & Negative Pressure: The powerful industrial exhaust fans pull hot, stale, and humid air out of the building. This creates a negative pressure zone (vacuum effect) inside the structure.

  • Outdoor Air Intake: Because of the internal negative pressure, hot and dry outdoor air is forced to enter the building through the wet cooling pads on the opposite wall.
  • Evaporative Cooling: As the hot air passes through the constantly wetted pad media, the water evaporates, instantly absorbing the sensible heat from the air.
